| 1968-75 | Started as an Arabian breeder and trainer. Received riding instructions from Mr. Roger Schaer, who is an assistant to Mr. George Wahl, Chief trainer of the Spanish Riding School Vienna and coach/trainer of World- and Olympic Champion Christine Stueckelberger. |
| 1975 | Purchased present farm, renovated the facilities and began Shalom Farm
Arabians Inc. a breeding and training operation, specializing in straight
Egyptian and cross Egyptian Arabian horses in Gormley, Ontario.
Shalom Farm Arabians Inc. won many major events in Endurance, Show Halter, Performance in English and Western riding, Most Classic, Liberty, Dressage, Show Hack and Hunter / Jumper. |

Leslie was a member of long standing of AHAEC (Arabian Horse Association of Eastern Canada) for over 25 years and a director until he formed CADENCE (Canadian Arabian Dressage Enthusiast Club East). While a member of the board of AHAEC he became a delegate and vice-chairman to the Region 18 director Mr. F. Wilkins. |

Leslie assisted in initiating the Hunter Pleasure classes and was heavily involved in furthering Arabian skill classes e.g. Hunter, Jumper, Eventing, Stock horse, Racing and Dressage, and now working cow horse. |
|
He is currently an active member (Vice Chair) on the Dressage executive
committee for IAHA (International Arabian Horse Association). Since elected as a
delegate Leslie has attended most IAHA annual Conventions over the past 30
years. |

Leslie was elected and served as Area Representative (President) of
CADORA (equivalent to the USDF) Toronto in 1984-85. |
|
Leslie organized and assisted in the first Dressage classes for Arabians
in 1982 at the Canadian Arabian Breeders Show (over 40 entries) and was able to
get the first all Arabian Dressage Show approved by IAHA and CEF which was held
at Shalom Farm Arabians Inc. in April 1984. Since then many recognized shows are
offering Dressage classes including the Region 18 Championship Show and the
Canadian and U.S. National Championship Show up to and including Prix St. George
and higher. |

of Fame). The highest winning Arabian blooded horse in North America, won 13
National Championships, several National Reserve Championships and Top 10 in
U.S.A and Canada, plus numerous Open National and International wins. |
